Job Description

At Qantev, we are reshaping health insurance with autonomous, multi-step Agentic AI pipelines. As an AI Engineer Intern, you will design and deploy high-performance, enterprise systems for our most innovative products. Bridge the gap between advanced research and production-scale software with real impact here.

What you will build and own:

  • Design and deploy production-grade, complex, multi-step reasoning Agentic AI pipelines and RAG applications.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and enhancements for our core platform, including APIs, data processing pipelines, and user-facing applications.

  • Build and scale robust systems using Python and TypeScript, maintaining a high bar for code quality, performance, and reliability.

  • Dive into a sophisticated codebase and operate independently. We value engineers who can find their way to a solution and build it with minimal hand-holding.

  • Work at the intersection of Data Science and Engineering to translate complex requirements into elegant, technical specifications and live features.

  • Gain deep expertise in our cloud-agnostic environment and software architecture, learning how to build for flexibility and scale.

  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, continually pushing the boundaries of our system's performance and development velocity.

Preferred Experience

Your Profile

  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual who meets the following criteria:

  • The Builder Mindset: You are the type of person who sees a bottleneck and builds a tool to fix it.

  • Academic background : You are currently pursuing a Master’s or Engineering degree from a Tier-1 institution

  • Deep Autonomy: You are comfortable diving into a massive, sophisticated codebase and finding your way to a solution without a hand-holding manual.

  • Strong foundation in AI-intensive systems (RAG & Agentic Frameworks), Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software engineering principles.

  • The "Product" Lens: You don't just write code that works; you write code that matters to the user.

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, maintainable, and efficient production-quality code.

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, C++).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and design elegant solutions.

  • Fluent in English

  • Seeking a 4-6 month internship

Bonus Points:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, particularly in deploying and scaling containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience building with React on the frontend and high-performance backends like FastAPI or Django.

  • A solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL) and the ability to optimize complex queries.

  • A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the "shift-left" approach to testing and deployment.

  • Previous experience in a high-growth, product-led startup or a history of shipping fast in an agile environment.

  • Contributions to open-source projects, a personal portfolio of deployed apps, or experience with Vector databases (Chroma, Pinecone, Weaviate).
