Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Paris. We require high-performing engineers who can effectively manage complex architectural challenges and deliver robust, scalable solutions. You will be a technical anchor for the team, driving the development of our core software capabilities with precision and technical excellence.

OUR STACK

  • Frontend: React, AntD, Tanstack suite, TypeScript

  • Backend: FastAPI, Airflow, Kafka, Docker

  • Infra: K8s, ArgoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop high-quality software design and architecture.

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.

  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code that meets high standards.

  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

  • Review and debug code.

  • Perform validation and verification testing.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.

  • Document development phases and monitor systems

  • Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Preferred Experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in the field of software and data engineering

  • Expert-level proficiency in Python (FastAPI)

  • Deep hands-on experience running and optimizing Postgres and Kafka in production

  • Strong experience in software engineering projects with emphasis on impactful outcomes and engaging internal or external client collaborations and satisfaction

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences

  • You value code simplicity and performance. You are detail-oriented and enjoy working with other engineers to solve problems.

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written); proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.Bonus Skills

  • Experience in a cloud-native or multi-cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • You are familiar with running large scale distributed compute/storage tools in production, (Kubernetes, Postgres, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis).

  • You are enthusiastic about cyber-security and you would be proud to contribute to a safer cyberspace

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience in a cloud-native or multi-cloud environment (Azure, GCP)

  • You are familiar with running large-scale distributed compute/storage tools in production (Elasticsearch, Redis)

  • Some experience or a working knowledge of TypeScript and React
